I’m still mad at Ferrari about this. Now that the A110 is back I wonder if we might finally get a revived Stratos. Lancia badly needs something to make them actually exist again.

Hot Take: the Alfa 4c should have been a Lancia  and Alfa’s should have had power steering and a suspension for daily use so it could have been a proper 718 Cayman competitor.

These are the “production” Stratos’ , Lancia is dead and they got the blessing to use F430 Scuds as the base and they’re offering a manual conversion too.

When did that change? Last thing I heard was that Ferrari was very much against the idea of them using 430s.

A quadrifoglio V6 would also do quite nicely as a powerplant I think.

I wonder if FCA even owns the name Stratos still or if they completely sold it to that company making these.

I know it’s not this easy but I would have loved a new Stratos based on the 4C.

Since these are “basically” Ferrari F430 kit cars Ferrari doesn’t really have a say. Don’t  you have to provide the base F430 to this company to perform the conversion?

How long does a copyright/trademark on a model name last? Lancia hasn’t used the name since 1978 so they may not have any legal claim to the Stratos name anymore.

Ferrari still has a say on their cars after you buy them, it’s weird, but they can and will blacklist customers for modifications that they don’t agree to.
